The Chicago Sun-Times reports William Baxter filed the suit recently in Will County Circuit Court. He alleges the feline "viciously attacked, bit and clawed" him while he cared for it at his home last year.
The Homer Glen man says the?cat's?owner, Christine Bobak, should have known the animal was potentially dangerous because it had allegedly attacked someone else before.
Baxter says he suffered injuries from a bite on his finger and clawing on his arm. The attack allegedly occurred as the pet-sitting Baxter tried to feed the?cat.
A phone message left for a Christine Bobak of Homer Glen Sunday wasn't returned. Baxter's attorney declined comment.
There's a hearing in the case July 10.
