Redbox Instant, the streaming service that complements the kiosk-based DVD rental service, launched today. In addition to unlimited access to streaming titles, you'll also get four Redbox DVD rentals for $8 a month.
Much like Netflix, you'll get access to a wide variety of streaming movies titles on your computer, but you can also digitally rent or buy movies through the service as well. As you'd expect, the streaming selection is still a work in progress, but if you're already an avid Redbox user, the $8 a month for DVDs and the streaming service isn't a bad deal. Also on the way are apps for iOS, Android, and the Xbox 360. You can sign up for a free one-month trial on the web site.
